The Carolina Athletic Hospitality interns play a vital role in the success of football, basketball, and baseball hospitality programs as well as athletic rental events at UNC.
These positions require excellent communication skills, the ability to think on his/her feet, organizational skills, and enthusiasm.
The interns will work closely with UNC Athletic Donors, The Rams Club, and other Athletic Department staff. Interns also help manage game day student workers, or FANgineers.
This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in sports, hospitality, and/or events. Carolina Athletic Hospitality hires one full-time intern and two part-time interns.
Carolina Athletic Hospitality hires one full-time intern per year. The internship typically begins in May or June.
This intern must be flexible with scheduling and willing to work long hours on the weekdays and weekends. This intern must be available 40+ hours per week and, in addition to a normal work week, will work all home football games as well as basketball games, baseball games, rental events, and other special events as assigned.
Due to the nature of this internship, you cannot still be in school during the internship. The intern receives a monthly stipend.
Experience in event management, sport management, hospitality, and/or customer service is preferred but not required.
Part-Time Event Internship
Carolina Athletic Hospitality hires two part-time interns who work the entirety of the academic year. The part-time internship is open to undergraduate students.
This position is paid hourly and primarily event/ game day focused. This intern will assist with administrative tasks, as well as all home football games, some men’s basketball games, and baseball games as assigned. Interns will also work Blue Zone events as scheduled.
